What D7, E8, and F9 Mean in WAEC

- In the WAEC grading system 2026, an E8 or D7 means a pass grade.
- F9 is considered a fail grade
E8, D7, and F9 are below the 2026 minimum requirement for admission into any Nigerian university, polytechnic, or college of education.
Credit passes (C6 and above) in mathematics and English language are compulsory for most courses and institutions.

Here are three solutions:
- Combine your WAEC 2026 result with NECO 2026 or any previous WAEC/NECO/NABTEB where you had a credit in the subject you’re missing.
- You can register for the second series of WAEC GCE 2026 or NECO GCE to rewrite the subject(s) and get the required credit.
- If your institution accepts it, write to your school requesting to use an awaiting result, then supply the result once you pass the subject in the next sitting.
