The University of Ibadan has begun uploading names of successful candidates to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). This includes the Merit List, Second Batch, Third Batch, and VC Admission List for various undergraduate programmes such as Law, Medicine, Nursing, Accounting, and more.

How to Check Your Admission Status

Option 1: JAMB CAPS Portal

  1. Visit https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng
  2. Log in with your registered email and password
  3. Click on “Access my CAPS”
  4. Select “Admission Status”
  5. If admitted, click “Accept Admission” to confirm

Note: If you’re using a mobile device and can’t see the full CAPS page, switch your browser to Desktop Mode for better visibility.

Option 2: UI Admission Portal

  1. Visit https://www.ui.edu.ng
  2. Navigate to “Undergraduate Admission”
  3. Click “Check Admission Status”
  4. Enter your JAMB Registration Number
  5. Click “Submit” to view your status

What to Do After Admission

If your name appears on the list:

  • Accept your admission on JAMB CAPS
  • Print your JAMB Admission Letter
  • Log in to the UI portal to print your UI admission letter
  • Pay your acceptance fee
  • Complete clearance and verification at the university
  • Prepare for registration and resumption

Types of UI Admission Lists

UI typically releases admission in the following order:

  • Merit List (First Batch) – For candidates with the highest aggregate scores
  • Second & Third Batch – For those who met cut-off marks later or had delayed uploads
  • Supplementary List – For candidates filling remaining departmental slots
  • VC Admission List – Special consideration list, released after merit-based admissions
