Ruth Titilayo Technical & Vocational Scholarship 2026: Empowering Skills for the Future
The Ruth Titilayo Educational Foundation (RTEF) has opened applications for its 2026 Technical & Vocational Scholarship Programme, designed to support young Nigerians pursuing skill-based education in accredited vocational and technical institutions. This initiative targets individuals committed to mastering trades and practical disciplines that contribute directly to economic development and self-reliance.
Who Can Apply?
The scholarship is open to candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Must be Nigerian citizens, aged 16 to 30 years at the time of application.
- Must be enrolled in or seeking admission into an accredited technical or vocational training centre in Nigeria.
- Must demonstrate genuine interest and aptitude in a chosen trade or craft.
- Must show evidence of financial need and a commitment to completing the training programme.
Eligible fields include but are not limited to: electrical installation, plumbing, carpentry, welding, tailoring, catering, hairdressing, ICT, automotive repair, and other certified vocational disciplines.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
- Training fee support of up to ₦100,000 per beneficiary.
- Tool or equipment grant of up to ₦30,000, depending on the trade.
- Access to mentorship and entrepreneurship workshops.
- Opportunities for internship placement with partner organizations or skilled professionals.
The scholarship is non-renewable and intended to cover the duration of the selected vocational programme, typically ranging from 3 months to 18 months.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following:
- A statement of interest (maximum 400 words) explaining their chosen trade and career goals.
- Proof of admission or registration at a recognized vocational or technical centre.
- Two reference letters from community leaders, instructors, or employers.
- Proof of age (birth certificate, national ID, or voter’s card).
- Passport photograph and any relevant certificates or training records.
All documents must be submitted in PDF format and clearly labeled with the applicant’s full name.

- Shortlisting: November 20–25, 2025
- Interviews (if applicable): December 2025
