The Ruth Titilayo Educational Foundation (RTEF) has officially launched the 2026 Polytechnic Scholarship Programme, aimed at empowering students enrolled in Nigerian polytechnics with financial support and career development opportunities. This scholarship is tailored for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students who demonstrate academic promise and a commitment to technical innovation.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Ruth Titilayo Polytechnic Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen, currently enrolled in a public polytechnic (federal or state-owned).
  • Be in ND I, ND II, HND I, or HND II as of the 2025/2026 academic session.
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent academic performance.
  • Be under the age of 30 at the time of application.
  • Demonstrate financial need, leadership potential, and a clear vision for career advancement in a technical field.

Students from all departments are eligible, but priority may be given to those in engineering, ICT, environmental sciences, and business-related disciplines.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants will receive:

  • Tuition support of up to ₦120,000 per academic session.
  • Project or industrial training grant of ₦25,000 for ND II and HND II students.
  • Access to mentorship programmes, career workshops, and internship referrals.
  • Opportunities to participate in entrepreneurship bootcamps and innovation challenges organized by the foundation.

The scholarship is awarded for one academic year and may be renewed based on performance and continued eligibility.

  • A personal statement (maximum 500 words) outlining academic goals, financial need, and career aspirations.
  • Recent academic transcript or result slip signed by the polytechnic registrar.
  • Valid student ID card or admission letter.
