Ruth Titilayo Undergraduate Scholarship 2026: Application Guide and Eligibility
The Ruth Titilayo Educational Foundation (RTEF) has officially opened applications for its 2026 Undergraduate Scholarship Programme, aimed at supporting academically outstanding students enrolled in Nigerian universities. This initiative is part of the foundation’s commitment to promoting access to higher education for students from underserved communities.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
To be considered for the Ruth Titilayo Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be currently enrolled in a Nigerian public university (state or federal) as a full-time undergraduate student.
- Be in 100 to 300 level as of the 2025/2026 academic session.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale or equivalent academic performance.
- Be under the age of 27 at the time of application.
- Demonstrate financial need and a strong commitment to academic excellence and community service.
Students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to those studying education, health sciences, engineering, and social sciences.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
- Tuition support of up to ₦150,000 per academic year.
- Maintenance allowance of ₦20,000 to cover books, transport, and other essentials.
- Mentorship opportunities with professionals and alumni of the foundation.
- Access to career development workshops and leadership training.
The scholarship is renewable annually, subject to satisfactory academic performance and continued eligibility.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following:
- A personal statement (maximum 500 words) outlining academic goals, financial need, and community involvement.
- Recent academic transcript or result slip signed by the university registrar.
- Valid student ID card or admission letter.
- Two reference letters from academic staff or community leaders.
- Proof of age (birth certificate or national ID).
All documents must be scanned clearly and submitted in PDF format.
